We had mentioned earlier about a rumour that Sony will include an HDR display on a rumoured device called the Xperia X Premium. This device supposedly would be the first mobile device that is capable of showing 1.07 billion colours, 120Hz refresh rate, 2000:1 contrast ratio and insanely high brightness of 1300 nits. Unfortunately, Sony Mobile Taiwan contacted ePrice (a Taiwanese news source and discussion forum) claiming that this rumour is not true.
Fans are still doubting the full meaning of Sony's words, since Sony did not blatantly admit that the device does not exist, only mentioning that the rumour itself is fake. In other words, the Xperia X Premium could exist and may be released eventually but probably without the HDR screen.
