If you want good TWS earphones, the Sony WF-1000 series is definitely among the best. The company has gradually improved subsequent models in the last few years, with sources claiming that the Sony WF-1000XM5 could deliver a notable upgrade this year.

According to WinFuture, the Sony WF-1000XM5 will pack new 8.4mm Dynamic Driver X 8.4mm drivers that could deliver better sound quality and "richer vocals". In comparison, last year's Sony WF-1000XM4 sport 6mm drivers. Of course, the 8.4mm drivers could result in higher power consumption. But the charging case will feature a 500mAh battery, which will keep the WF-1000XM5 running for up to 24 hours (same maximum limit as its predecessor).

Sony fans can also expect some new features to go with old ones. This includes the two proprietary onboard processors, dual feedback microphones, bone conduction sensors, and Precise Voice Pickup technology. HiRes Audio, DSEE Extreme, and multi-connection via Bluetooth 5.3 are also supported. Despite the larger drivers, the WF-1000XM5 will also allegedly have a more compact design.

Overall, the Sony WF-1000XM5 should be a worthy upgrade for those using an older model. And if you've been on the fence with TWS earphones, this could be the one for you. What do you think? Let us know if you'd get these earphones on our Facebook page!
