Sony Xperia 5 II benchmark and images leaked online

With the Sony Xperia 5 II would be launching on 17 September, more details of the phone have been leaking in recent weeks. Several details about the phone have been rumoured so far, but now a Geekbench record and images leaked online have confirmed a few things for us.

According to GSMArena, the "Sony SO-52A" device that appeared on Geekbench is the Xperia 5 II. From the benchmark entry, you can see that this is an Android 10 device that comes with the Snapdragon 865 chipset (kona motherboard) and 8GB of RAM. The benchmark scores are also on the higher side, which could mean that there is some overclocking on the CPUs.

Besides that, Evan Blass leaked a series of official press images for the phone. It shows the device in multiple angles. You can also see that it has a 3.5mm audio jack that was absent from the Xperia 5 makes a comeback, dual front-facing speakers, and triple 12MP rear cameras. The phone will also have an optional cover with a built-in kickstand, as well as an accessory that will let you attach the phone to a DS4 controller.

Overall, the phone looks quite good so far. But the pricing hasn't been revealed and that will be a key aspect that could determine how well the Xperia 5 II would be received.
