Previously, we wrote that Sony will be releasing a new compact camera called the Sony ZV-1 and true enough, it will be arriving in Malaysia in July 2020. While there's no official price tag yet, here's what we know about the latest Alpha brand designed for vloggers. Designed for people who want to do casual video shooting and share on their social accounts, here are some necessary tech specs you should know first.

Initially teased with a just a silhouette, we now got a better look at the camera as a lightweight, compact "all-in-one" device and it's exactly what you think it looks like. The ZV-1 sports a 1.0-type stacked Exmor RS CMOS image sensor DRAM chip and 24-70mm F1.8-2.8 ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T large-aperture lens, which captures well-shot background bokeh effect. Speaking of bokeh effects, there is a new Bokeh Switch function that allows you to defocus the background blur in an instant without losing focus on the subject, alongside a new Face Priority Auto-Exposure that prioritises the subject's face while adjusting the brightness.

4K movie recording is also expected, as well as the return of the Real-Time Eye AF and Real-Time Tracking for video recording. Image stabilization can be done without a gimbal so you can do a hand-held recording on-the-go should the occasion arises, it's said that Sony combined both optical and electronic stabilisation to reduce the shaking up to 11x that of standard SteadyShot, and 8x that when shooting in 4K. Besides that, Super Slow Motion recording is available at up to 960fps and you can edit clips via Movie Edit add-on from the Imaging Edge mobile app.

Moreover, you can also expect some more Sony camera technologies onboard such as high-speed accurate auto-tracking sensor, the latest BIONZ X image processor with front-end LSI for low noise image quality, and there's a side-opening Vari-angle LCD screen for audio connection convenience.

As aforementioned, the Sony ZV-1 will be available in Malaysia from July 2020 onwards. To read more details, you can visit the website right here to learn more. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
