In conjunction with Astro Bot's launch, Sony Interactive Entertainment just announced its upcoming 30th Anniversary which is coming in a few months. To commemorate this, the company gave a heads up of what to look ahead but someone got a glimpse of a possible PlayStation 5 Pro design.
Spotted by @Wario64 and others, the PS5 Pro design was hiding in sight among the many gaming consoles and controllers in the cover image. If you look closely between the original PS logo and the 30th number, you can see a PS5 silhouette there with three black stripes in the middle.
This is in line with the previous report of what the PS5 Pro could look like. According to a French website, the team sketched out the alleged final PS5 Pro design which looks exactly like the alleged PS5 Pro silhouette there. Furthermore, the 30th Anniversary is on 3 December 2024, which could be an excellent time for the PS5 Pro launching period.
Anyway, in line with the 30th Anniversary, Sony is planning some fun activities for PS gamers around the world. Below are some early look at what's ahead:
- My First GT - Free trial version of Gran Turismo 7, including some nostalgic favourite cars, tracks, and race events. Available to all PS5 and PS4 players this holiday.
- Digital game soundtracks - In collaboration with Sony Music, each month from October through January, Sony will release for the first time on Spotify a set of digital soundtracks from fan-favourite PlayStation franchises (OG God of War, God of War II, God of War: Ghost of Sparta, Twisted Metal, Starhawk and Unit 13). They can be purchased on various digital music storefronts, including Amazon Music, Apple Music, and participating music retailers.
- Shapes of Play - A new collection of products called “Shapes of Play,” crafted by the team behind the design of PlayStation consoles, gives you opportunities to create fun moments with our iconic shapes.
- Free online multiplayer weekend and esports tournaments - Sony is hosting a free online multiplayer weekend on 21 and 22 September. During those days, you can enjoy online multiplayer for games you own without having a PlayStation Plus membership, on PS5 and PS4 consoles.
