The PlayStation 5 Pro has been a hot topic this year and is getting juicier. For the past few months, we have been reporting about the features and a possible announcement date. Today, we might have a good idea of what the PS5 Pro looks like.
According to a French website, the team was able to get some detailed information about the PS5 Pro, particularly the design. They managed to see the visual of the PS5 Pro packaging box but due to copyright reasons, they will not post the photo online. Instead, they sketched out the alleged final PS5 Pro design.
The overall design is similar to the current PS5 slim model with the white covers. The stripes you see on the sides will be black and additionally, there will be two USB C ports and a power button at the bottom of the gaming console. The new white covers should be detachable and be customised like the PS5 to other colours.
One thing to note is the lack of a disc drive. While they didn't get a straight answer, the PS5 Pro that they saw may be the digital version while the PS5 Pro Blu-Ray version is being kept secretly. On the other hand, perhaps the disc drive could be sold as a separate accessory to this standalone PS5 Pro model.
Other than that, they also noted that the PS5 Pro seems to be slightly thicker than the PS5 slim model and the DualSense gaming controller remains the same. It is anticipated that Sony will officially reveal the PS5 Pro in the first half of September 2024.
