Recently, we shared a few essential tech tips for post-pandemic international travel, including familiarising yourself with a specific country’s contact tracing app. Well, that includes our country’s own MySejahtera app, which until today requires those entering Malaysia to fill in its Traveller Pass feature.

However, the requirement will be rescinded starting this 4 July 2022 for Malaysians coming back home from overseas, though it will still be enforced for foreign nationals entering our country. This was announced by Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin through a Ministry of Health statement yesterday.

Furthermore, Khairy also elaborated that travel requirements will also be relaxed in stages. Soon, non-Malaysian citizens may potentially be exemptedto fill in the travel pass on MySejahtera too, including permanent residents as well as those with student and social passes.

In the statement, the Health Minister asserted that this relaxation of travel requirements are thanks to our national health system being at a good and satisfactory level. However, for now, foreign nationals entering Malaysia are still required to follow the Traveller Pass requirement on MySejahtera so as to monitor infectious diseases such as monkeypox.

Have you guys used MySejahtera’s Traveller Pass feature in the past? What do you guys think of the feature and its amendment for Malaysians this Monday?
