Back in July, Valve confirmed that the Steam Deck's supply chain issues were clearing up. It would soon be able to sell more consoles, and scalpers should no longer be a problem. Now, Valve has announced that the console is no longer reservations only.
Recently, Valve announced that the Steam Deck is available without buyers needing to make a reservation. The increase in supply could mean result in the company expanding shipments to more countries like Singapore, which would make importing one to Malaysia cheaper. However, Valve also confirmed that it could revert to reservation mode to catch up if it gets too many orders.
Besides that, Valve now has a dock for the Steam Deck for USD89 (~RM413). The Docking Station has three USB-A 3.1 Gen1 ports, one USB-C port (for power), one DisplayPort, one HDMI port, and an Ethernet port. Valve also confirmed that you could use third-party options. The company claimed that its SteamOS would support most USB-C docks or hubs.
I hope to see the Steam Deck launched in Malaysia, so the first bit of news is a welcome one. How about you? Let us know in the comments below, and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more updates on the Steam Deck.
