TechNave Gaming - League of Legends finally hits mobile through Tencent's streaming app

Awhile back, we reported that League of Legends might be hitting mobile soon and it seems like the time has come - at least in China. Tencent, the parent company of the popular moba’s developer, Riot Games, has announced a new streaming app which allows players to stream PC games on their mobile devices

The app is on Tencent’s WeGame platform which allows players to stream any game on their gaming library on their PC through their mobile devices. There is a catch, though - the mobile device must be connected to the same wifi network their PC is on in order to run the games (boo!). This means we’re probably a ways away from on the go PC gaming since we can’t be too far from our PCs anyway.

Both League of Legends and the brand new game mode, Team Fight Tactics (TFT) can be streamed on the app currently. While playing League of Legends can prove to be a challenge without a mouse and keyboard, playing TFT on mobile is honestly perfect.

For us who want to get in on that mobile League of Legends and TFT, there is an international version of the WeGame client by Tencent called WeGame X. Currently, there’s only a few games listed on the platform and it is unsure if WeGame X will be seeing the light of day outside of China. Here’s to hoping that Riot Games does finish developing its standalone version of mobile League of Legends. Would you stream League of Legends on your mobile device?
