Previously, we reported that Telegram might be planning to launch a subscription plan with exclusive features not available on its regular version. Recently, the new subscription plan was finally revealed and it’s called Telegram Premium.
In a blogpost yesterday, Telegram elaborated the details regarding its new Premium plan as well as shared the platform’s recent achievement of being the top-5 downloaded apps worldwide in 2022 and having over 700 million overall active users. For Telegram Premium, the subscription service gives users access to exclusive additional features while supporting the platform’s continued development.
Among the features available for Telegram Premium users include:
- Doubled limits
- 4GB file uploads
- Faster downloads
- Exclusive stickers
- Unique Reactions
- Improved chat management
- Voice-to-Text
- Animated Profile Pictures
- Premium Badges
- Premium App Icons
- No Ads
Besides that, Telegram is also improving the features available for its free users. These include adding features such as join requests for public groups, an animated screen for external sharing, improved bot descriptions, verification badges in chats, automatic saving to gallery on Android, improved chat previews and improved external sharing on iOS.
