Due to WhatsApp's new privacy policy, many users have been moving to other messaging apps. We even wrote a short article introducing some other alternatives you could use. If you are considering Telegram, the app has just gotten a major update.

Telegram has recently added group video calls to its mobile app. For group video calls, access is available to the first 30 people who join the call. During group calls, you can also share your screen, which could be useful if you want to do presentations via your phone. The new features can be accessed from both phones and tablets, with noise suppression to keep your audio calls crisp and clear.

For something a bit fancy, there's also the newly added animated background for chats. What's great is that you can create your own custom background and share it, so that's nice if you have a creative streak. There are also some light animations for chat now, allowing messages or emojis to seamlessly appear on the screen. Telegram has promised that these won't affect your battery endurance either.

These days, Telegram has become a great alternative to WhatsApp. But what do you think about the messaging app so far? Share your thoughts in the comments below, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
