Teo Nie Ching: 5G network coverage in Kelantan at 67%, 232 5G stations completed in the state

Deputy Communications Minister Teo Nie Ching revealed that the 5G network coverage in Kelantan has reached 67% in populated areas. She further revealed that 232 5G stations have been completed in the state last year. 

Speaking during a segment on KELANTANfm today, Bernama quoted Teo as saying that the Communications Ministry intends to further expand the 5G internet network in Kelantan so that residents can do their daily business more efficiently. She added that a total of 152 telecommunications towers under the National Digital Network Plan  (JENDELA) have been completed in the state, benefiting more than 1.89 million residents.

As for National Information Dissemination Centres (NADI), there are currently 75 in Kelantan, with 4 more expected to be fully operational this year. Previously, it was revealed that the 5G network coverage in Malaysia has reached 82.4% of populated areas nationwide, with the number of 5G subscribers at 18.19 million.
