Tesla listed 10 supercharger locations across Malaysia

With all the buzz going on for the Tesla news this morning, Tesla.com has also listed official supercharger stations for the Tesla cars that are coming to Malaysia. A quick search on its website reveals 10 locations across Malaysia.

According to Tesla.com, below are the listed locations that will have the supercharger stations:

  • Perai, Pulau Pinang
  • Ipoh, Perak
  • Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur
  • Two more unnamed locations in Kuala Lumpur
  • Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur
  • Petaling Jaya, Selangor
  • Dengkil, Selangor
  • Negeri Sembilan
  • Iskandar Puteri, Johor Bahru

While it's exciting to know these locations are selected, the website also mentioned that the target opening date has yet to be confirmed. On top of that, timing and location are subject to change in the future as time passes. Tesla will also continue to add new locations and update its website every quarter.

The starting price is RM199,000 and customers can pre-order today for the Model Y (Rear-wheel drive), Model Y Long Range, and Model Y Performance. The estimated delivery date will be in early 2024 and the booking fee is RM1000. Tesla owners may also claim individual income tax relief of up to RM2,500 on expenses related to the cost of installation, rental, and purchase, including hire-purchase equipment or subscription fees for EV charging facilities, for the assessment year of 2023.
