We have been talking about the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) RM10,000 Special Withdrawal for a while now. Initially scheduled for 20 April 2022, it was announced by Finance Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz that the EPF will begin disbursing the payments today (18 April).

According to our Finance Minister, he said the plan moved up to two days earlier due to the high amount of requests by Malaysians on social media. It seems that a majority of them have asked him to hasten the disbursement, so it prompted him to discuss and then confirmed the date. He officially made the announcement on his Facebook account.
