Earlier, we mentioned how Samsung could rename the Exynos Chip as “Dream Chip”. Now, Samsung confirms that it will not happen. That said, what should you know about it?
For your information, there was a rumour about the Exynos branding being dropped. Plus, leaker @OreXda on X says the new Samsung chips could be renamed as “Dream Chip”. This rumour sounds feasible because this is not the first time the name “Dream Chip” pops out.
Goodbye Exynos.

Hello Dream Chip.
Previously, netizens speculated the “Dream Chip” could replace the Exynos 2400 and Exynos 2500 as its successor. Rumour says the Dream Chip could feature 10 cores, use Samsung's 3 GAP process and customized GPU graphics core based on AMD technology.
Thankfully, a Samsung Semiconductor via Android Authority confirms that this rumour is false. In fact, the insider says the mentioned brand name (Dream-ed) is simply an internal project name. This is what the Samsung staff has to say about it in the email:
“The rumour on rebranding is not true. For your reference, the mentioned brand name [Dream – ed] is simply an internal project name”.
“All rumours regarding rebranding are not true,”
There you go. And just like that, the rumour has been squashed to pieces. However, that could be true for now. Who knows? Maybe Samsung could re-visit this plan or give us a “Dream” in another form. If there’s one thing we learn about technology, it’s to never say never.
