It's been a while since we last heard anything about the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge. Samsung did not announce any tech specs and availability at the Galaxy Unpacked event in January, but it did appear as a demo unit. Today, a Korean news outlet claimed that there is a release date.
According to this Korean news outlet, Samsung is going to unveil the Galaxy S25 Edge on 16 April 2025 globally. The company is also planning to introduce some tech specs through a short Unpacked video, which is expected to be available for purchase starting in May. It could come in light blue, black and silver, and the initial quantity is only around 40,000 units.
In terms of how thin the phone is, rumours have it that the Galaxy S25 Edge is around 6.4mm. If true, then it is just 0.8mm thinner than the standard Galaxy S25 (7.2mm). Despite the thinness, the Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to feature a 200MP + 50MP dual rear camera and a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The price range is also expected to be in the mid-range tier category.
When asked about the potential release date, a Samsung Electronics official replied to the media that the company "cannot confirm" for obvious reasons. Until then, we will just have to wait and see when Samsung makes an official announcement.
