We’ve missed out on the original Razer Phone but we’re not missing out on the Razer Phone 2! 15th of January is the date Razer has teased for the iconic gaming smartphone to be launched here in Malaysia.
The Razer Phone 2 features a 5.72 inch display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 with anti-fingerprint protection and UltraMotion technology. It is powered by the Snapdragon 845 which is kept cool by the Vapor Chamber Cooling System. In addition, its tech specs include 8GB RAM and 64GB internal storage which is expandable up to 1TB, Dolby Atmos and 24 bit USB USB-C DAC dual front facing stereo speakers.
The smartphone is also water resistant and has a lit up Chroma RGB logo in the back that everyone has been begging for. Camera-wise, we can expect it to be better than its predecessor with a dual rear setup of 12MP OIS f/1.75 lens + 12MP telephoto f/2.6 lens dual PDAF rear cameras and an 8MP f/2.0 selfie camera. To make things even better, this phone supports wireless charging, packs a 4000mAh battery capacity and a side mounted fingerprint scanner.
To be honest, like any other Razer item, this phone is severely overhyped from how it looks thus far. The lack of peripherals compared to other gaming smartphones such as the ASUS ROG and even the HONOR Play does make the phone a little less desirable. However, we’ll have to wait and see how this smartphone fares compared to the rest before we’ll comment any further. Are you excited for the phone to be out in Malaysia?
