Besides launching the global version of the Redmi Note 11 last night, Xiaomi also brought the global MIUI 13 onto the stage. The new MIUI will come pre-installed on Redmi Note 11 devices, and it's also expected to run on the upcoming Xiaomi 12 series. The company has presented four new highlight features, including Liquid Storage, Atomized Memory, Focused Algorithms, and Smart Balance. Liquid Memory is a technology that reduces fragmentation by actively managing the stored data. Xiaomi says that it improves defragmentation efficiency by up to 60-percent. Meanwhile, Atomized Memory will be in charge of RAM optimization, which closes inactive background processes more efficiently.

Furthermore, Focused Algorithms prioritizes the running app by giving it faster speed and higher performance, while Smart Balance finds the balance between performance and power consumption by extending overall battery life up to 10-percent in MIUI 13. Additionally, Xiaomi also added the new Sidebar as a handy tool for multitasking. It allows users to access their favourite apps with just a simple swipe.
