The vivo S5 revealed with an OLED punch-hole screen, 22.5W fast charge and more, priced from ~RM1597

A few days prior to the launch, the vivo S5 was rumoured with its Diamond-shaped rear camera setup since last week. So yesterday, the phone has officially launched in Hangzhou, China as a new mid-range tier device, featuring a Snapdragon chipset, quad rear cameras, and more from a starting price of ~RM1597. Let's take a look at the tech specs of the device.

The vivo S5 comes with a 6.44 inch FHD+ OLED punch-hole display with an on-screen fingerprint scanner. As for the chipset, it is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 chipset with an 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage capacity variants. Besides, it also has a 4100mAh battery capacity that is supported by a 22.5W fast charge technology.

In terms of camera, it sports a quad-camera setup on the rear that includes the 48MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera, 5MP depth sensor and 2MP macro lens. In the front, it has a 32MP selfie camera inside the punch-hole situated at the top right corner of the phone (and it just measures 2.98m!). Since there are two memory variants, the S5 is priced at 2,698 yuan (~RM1597) and 2,998 yuan (~RM1775) for the 128GB and 256GB version respectively.
