Today is a big day for the gaming world as it is the launch day of Google Stadia. The so-called Netflix of gaming offers players to enjoy gaming experience without any console. The games will run through cloud service and you can just play the games using Google Chrome browser on any device.

The game streaming service is available to be subscribed at the price of 9.99 USD (~RM41.50). However, no games will be included if you only subscribed to the service. To play the games, you are needed to purchase each individual game with the price that is similar to the ones you buy for PC or console.

With the roll out of Google Stadia, it doesn’t mean you could wave goodbye to any of the hardware. With Google metioned before, Google Stadia works with gaming controllers from other gaming platforms like PlayStation and Xbox on PC and Pixel smartphones. If you want to play on TV, a Stadia controller is the only option you have for now.

For the users who pre-ordered the Google Premiere Edition, they will get Google’s own gaming controller named Stadia controller. The package also comes with a Chromecast Ultra, three months of Stadia Pro, and Destiny 2: The Collection.

However, some players of the most anticipated gaming streaming service were not happy once they got their hands on the experience. The players encountered issues like stutters and input lags while playing the games, even on a high-speed Internet connection.

This first-ever gaming streaming service is still new to the world. I think we should give it a fair amount of time to fix these issues or bugs. Not to mention the previous launch of Disney+ also encountered issues although video-on-demand streaming service has been in the market for a long time.
