Last month, Ericsson announced the establishment of its 5G Network Operations Centre. It was another milestone in our country's 5G development. With the networks starting to roll out, local telcos are also starting to push out new services, and U Mobile is one of them.
Just earlier, U Mobile unveiled two new prepaid packages - U25 and U35. The company claimed that these are the most affordable 5G-ready prepaid plans currently available. They offer unlimited data and calls, 30 hours of 'speed boost' every month, and low IDD call rates to 11 countries. The speed boost lets U Mobile customers max out connection speeds on U Mobile's 4G or 5G networks.
In conjunction with the launch, U Mobile will sell the prepaid packages at RM20/month for U25 and RM35/month for U35. The former provides unlimited data at 3Mbps, while the latter has unlimited data at 6Mbps. In other words, you'll need that speed boost feature if you want to get the best speeds.
