U Mobile announces Unlimited HERO Postpaid P78 for RM78 a month and new Roam-Onz

U Mobile has announced their new Unlimited HERO Postpaid P78 plan for RM78 a month, providing for a limited time only:

  • unlimited calls to all networks
  • unlimited high-speed data
  • free 10GB hotspot data
  • free 5GB Roam-Onz data roaming

Replacing the previous Data BackPack is U Mobile's new Roam-Onz roaming (includes Australia, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Laos, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand) with dedicated data for just overseas usage. This is available for all postpaid customers including P70, P98, i90, i130, UD90, UD130 U Premium and U Platinum users and will be valid until 31 December 2017.

While the P78 postpaid plan does offer high-speed unlimited data, it has been capped at 5Mbps while video streaming is at 480p resolutions only as well. While you can use your P78 connected smartphone as a hotspot, MiFi usage has been blocked. Check out the U Mobile site or Roam-Onz site for more details.
