If you're an avid gamer, you probably know that E3 2020 was cancelled like many other large events this year. Although a digital event was planned, the idea was eventually scrapped. To make up for it, game developers and publishers have all begun to plan for their own digital events, with Ubisoft being the next to announce a digital event.

In a short announcement, Ubisoft officially confirmed that it will be hosting an event called Ubisoft Forward. This will be a digital conference for the publisher to reveal its latest games to fans and promises to deliver an "E3-style showcase". Ubisoft is expected to unveil exclusive news on its games and other updates or reveals on the 12 July 2020 12 PM PDT, which would be 3 AM Malaysian time on 13 July 2020.

What games can we expect to see, you ask? First, there's Assassin's Creed Valhalla, which recently launched a teaser trailer. It was a disappointing reveal, as many fans were expecting to see some gameplay as well. Besides that, we should also be getting more details on Watch Dogs: Legion, which is expected to launch sometime in April 2021, as well as the co-op shooter Rainbow Six Quarantine that should launch later this year.

As developers start to host digital events, a question that arises is whether publishers and developers stick to digital events like Nintendo has in recent years. Honestly, we probably won't know until next year. But what do you think? Share your thoughts with us on our Facebook page and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more news.
