Previously, we read some rumours that Left 4 Dead 3 was in the works and that certainly pique a lot of interest. Every gamer knows the Left 4 Dead series is one of the best horror FPS games in the market so to hear news about that brought some hope. Unfortunately, it seems that Left 4 Dead 3 is probably never gonna happen as confirmed by Valve

According to Valve, they told IGN that they did some exploring on the franchise in some "next-gen opportunities a few years ago", but at the moment, they are not working on any Left 4 Dead projects now and this has been going on for many years. To back up Valve's statement, Alvin Wang Graylin, HTC Vive China president, tweeted an apology on misleading fans on putting L4D3 in his 2020 VR Trends, as he did that as his own "personal speculation" (#smh) and not an official game title like Half-Life Alyx.

So there you have it, all your dreams of Left 4 Dead 3 can be put to rest into the same bin like Half-Life 3. That said, a fan took this matter to his own hand and made a new unofficial Left 4 Dead 2 sequel campaign called "Chernobyl Chapter One". Fans of the franchise can download the game for free and you can find out how to on our news coverage right here
