If you're subscribed to vivo Malaysia Facebook page, chances are that you have seen their latest teaser about an upcoming smartphone called the V7 and V7+ which we reported just over the long weekend. Information of the tech-specs are scarce but we may have something thanks to the new X20 and X20 Plus rumours. So what is the relation?
Well, according to the source, the two series are actually the same given with the same bezel-less design so we can assume the same tech-specs as well. To start off with the X20 and X20 Plus, the difference between the two is the display size which is 5.2-inch and 5.5-inch respectively, but both delivering a screen-to-body ratio of 18:9. The processor and memory are slightly different too, with the X20 Plus holding a Snapdragon 660 and 6GB + 128GB while the X20 features a Snapdragon 630 and 6GB + 64GB memory capacity.
Other than that, the rest of the tech-specs is said to be the same, packing Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box, 3500 mAh battery and a huge 24MP selfie snapper. We can also expect it to carry an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner technology.
We aren't sure why vivo feels the need to separate the two names even though both are the same (if it is). Different regions will get the X20 and X20 Plus or the V7 and V7+, it's confirmed that we will get the V7+ as teased by vivo Malaysia and it's said the reveal will be on 7 September 2017.
