We could see a new tri-fold Galaxy device by Samsung next year

While foldable phones are becoming more mainstream, a tri-fold device could be the next step. According to a media outlet in Korea, Samsung Electronics could be discussing the release of an entry-level model of a flip-type product and a 'tri-fold' model.

You may think that Samsung would try to follow in Huawei's footsteps in designing something similar to the Mate XT Ultimate. However, Samsung has a concept Flex S display that can fold the panel inside and out twice. It is a technology that exists as seen in the cover image above, but is not commercial yet.

Samsung is currently gearing up to release a Galaxy Z Fold 6 SE this week. If you have seen the video teaser, the new foldable device is so thin that it can slide through underneath a door inside an envelope. Compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 6, it's 1.5mm thinner and weighs 3g lighter. The company could use the same thin build for the rumoured Flex S Galaxy device.

Should it be true, then we may see a new entry-level Galaxy Flip and a tri-fold device next year. You may take this news with a pinch of salt but it's still an interesting development that we heard so far. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
