Previously, we mentioned how you can use alternate profile picture for your WhatsApp. Today, WhatsApp is testing the new Email Address Verification feature. That said, what should you know about it?
For your information, WhatsApp might allow you to sign into your account via your email. Currently, you can only login by verifying the code sent via SMS. According to leaks, WhatsApp is rolling out this beta feature to selected users.
In addition, WhatsApp could launch this feature as an alternative for the current login method. As expected, you can activate this feature by filling the details for your email. That way, you can be more prepared incase anything happens to your phone number.
However, that raised a few concerns on the feature. For instance, your email verification can be compromised if you forgot to log out of certain devices. Plus, a lot of people are used to the current method of verification. Hence, it’s understandable why most people believe current verification method is safer and more reliable.
We have yet to confirm the Malaysia release date for this feature. Moreover, there are no further confirmation on this rumour. So, you might want to take this rumour with a pinch of salt.
