WhatsApp is finally rolling out the update that comes with "always mute chat" option

A few months ago, we have mentioned that WhatsApp is working on the option to let users mute their chats forever. Now, it looks like the feature will be rolled out to everyone soon as some users have gotten the update. Other than that, they are also going to upgrade the storage interface which will give more insight to users regarding consumption.

Spotted in version 2.20.201.9 of WhatsApp, users can now choose "Always" to mute certain chats forever. Before this, users can only choose to mute the chats for eight hours, one week, and one year. It is suggested that it could be a server-side update and will take a few days to reach everyone.

Besides the mute chat forever update, WABetaInfo has reported that WhatsApp is going to bring a new look to the storage management page. The new storage management page allows users to look for large/forwarded files and view storage consumption by chat history. It will suggest users the files for deletion as well. However, we might need to wait for a while for WhatsApp to work on this update.
