Previously, we shared how the Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp is working on a multi-account feature on the app. Now, it looks like the feature is getting closer to prime time as it’s now available to some beta testers of the app.

According to WABetaInfo, the feature is part of the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.13.5 after it was first spotted in version 2.23.17.8. Essentially, the feature allows users to add additional accounts to the same WhatsApp app on their Android devices.

Based on the screenshot, users can add a new account by tapping the arrow icon next to the QR code button. Moreover, the same menu allows you to switch between accounts similar to how it is done on Instagram and when you decide to add a new account, it stays on the device until you log out.

Besides that, the feature also keeps the conversations and notifications on each account separate, meaning you don’t need to worry about privacy issues. Whether the feature would make its way to the full version of WhatsApp remains to be seen, though it is very likely at this point.
