Not much was known about the Xiaomi 13 Ultra when Xiaomi teased it late last year. We know that it has a periscope camera that would "shock everyone", and a main camera with a large aperture. But we weren't didn't have much info about the other cameras until recently.
In an official Weibo post, Xiaomi confirmed that the Xiaomi 13 Ultra would have a camera module that combines a Sony IMX989 sensor with three Sony IMX858 sensors. For your info, these are all 50MP sensors. The announcement also mentioned that the camera system will have an improved DOL-HDR and LN2 noise reduction technology.

While the full details have yet to be revealed, we do know that the main camera will be a large 1-inch sensor. It even comes with a physical aperture, which goes from f/1.9 to f/4.0. The other three cameras would be the ultrawide camera, a 3x telephoto camera, and a 5x telephoto camera. This phone seems designed for street and travel photography.
As a reminder, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be getting a global launch on 18 April 2023. While it hasn't been confirmed if it would be available here in Malaysia, we think the chances are pretty good. Would you get one if it sells here? Let us know in the comments and stay tuned to TechNave for further updates.
