After being in the rumour mills for a while now, Xiaomi has finally announced the release date for the Xiaomi 13 series. Taking to its official Weibo account, Xiaomi announced that the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro will launch this Thursday (1 December 2022) in China at 7pm local time alongside the latest version of the MIUI OS, MIUI 14.
In several posts on the official Xiaomi Weibo account, the company also confirmed some of the Xiaomi 13 series’ specs and features. These include a flat OLED display with thin 1.61mm bezels on the top and sides, with a slightly thicker bottom bezel at 1.81mm.
Besides that, Xiaomi also revealed that the device is 71.55mm wide, which would make it quite easy to navigate one-handed. Speaking of the device’s build, the company also confirmed that the series will feature IP68 dust and water resistance.
Besides that, the launch event will also see the latest MIUI 14 OS go official as well as the release of several Xiaomi accessories. These include the Xiaomi Watch S2 smartwatch and Xiaomi Buds 4 true wireless earbuds.
