Yesterday, Xiaomi held a launch to reveal the Xiaomi Mix Flip 2 and Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro. But the company also showcased a few other interesting products, including a pair of AI Glasses. A little uninspiring, but it's called the Xiaomi AI Glasses.
Tech specs and features
According to Xiaomi, the Xiaomi AI Glasses is a lightweight (40g) wearable. It features a 12MP Sony IMX681 camera, which can be used to record 2K (1440p) resolution first-person videos, live broadcasts, and photos. For audio, it relies on a pair of speakers for media playback or audio calls. Speaking of audio calls, five microphones help with voice calls and voice commands.

The user's voice can activate various AI features through the Xiaomi AI Glasses. It can be used to initiate payments via Alipay, ask some questions (typical chatbot function), or translate what the camera 'sees'. Powering these features is the Snapdragon AR1 chipset and XIaomi's in-house Vela operating system. It has a max runtime of 8 hours and 36 minutes, thanks to its 263mAh battery.
Price and availability
The standard Xiaomi AI Glasses are priced at 1999 yuan (~RM1179). However, Xiaomi also prepared two variants with colour-changing lenses. The one with one colour costs 2699 yuan (~RM1591), while the photochromic version costs 2999 yuan (~RM1768).

Of all the Xiaomi products announced yesterday, these glasses are the least likely to launch in Malaysia. But would you buy one if it's available here? Let us know in the comments and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
