About two weeks back, sources revealed that Xiaomi would be launching new smartphones soon. The company is expected to unveil the Xiaomi Civi 2 and Redmi 11A 5G soon. While info on the latter is still sparse, Xiaomi has announced the launch date and some details for the Xiaomi Civi 2.

According to Xiaomi, the Xiaomi Civi 2 will launch on 27 September 2022. This is a mid-range model targeted at youths, focusing on solid mobile photography and design. It not only has a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor as the main rear camera but also features 2x 32MP cameras, of which one is an ultra-wide camera. In terms of colours, it will be available in white, black, light blue, and a pinkish purple colour.

For tech specs, it was confirmed that the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. It will also come with a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a vapour chamber cooling system, and a 4500mAh battery. As for charging, the phone will support 67W fast charging support, but Xiaomi didn't mention if the charger would be included.

Overall, this sounds like a pretty interesting device. Unfortunately, the first Xiaomi Civi and Xiaomi Civi 1S were never launched in Malaysia, so who knows if this one makes it here. If it does, would you be interested in getting one? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for the launch report.
