Smartphone companies are always trying to outdo each other in terms of specs or features like the rear cameras. When Samsung and Huawei unveiled devices featuring large camera modules, however, some found a trend that they don't particularly like. Xiaomi wants to play that game too, as its upcoming Mi 10 Pro Plus may come with a huge camera module too.

According to images from Ben Geskin, a plastic back cover for Xiaomi's next flagship came with a large cutout for the rear cameras. In fact, the cutout is so large that it takes up almost half of the back cover. You can also see the words "100x Infinity Zoom" written on the cover, which indicates that the device will have 100x zoom, likely using a telephoto camera.

Speaking of the Mi 10 Pro Plus, Xiaomi could be launching it on 11 August 2020 during CEO Lei Jun's public speech for the Xiaomi 10th anniversary. The device should come with either the Snapdragon 865 or 865+ chipset, a 120Hz display, and a 100 or 120W fast-charger. Lei Jun also previously posted a list of features for a phone that's believed to be the Mi 10 Pro Plus.

As the supposed launch of this device draws closer, we'll probably see more leaks and reveals appearing. But what do you think about this news so far, are you okay with large camera modules? Let us know on our Facebook page and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more news.
