The Xiaomi Mi 11 was the first to debut with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. For the next flagship successor Snapdragon 898, Xiaomi also intends to be the first by launching smartphones with it. According to the latest report, the Xiaomi Mi 12 is arriving in mid-December. Therefore, Xiaomi will certainly become the first again to use Qualcomm's latest processor.

The upcoming Snapdragon 898 is said to be a 4nm chipset. Before its release, the processor's benchmark has already shown that it's powerful, with an impressive 20% performance boost compared to the previous Snapdragon 888. However, Qualcomm might have ignored the thermal performance as it's said that the new chip can get hot. Therefore, we can't wait to see how Xiaomi deals with this on its Mi 12 devices.

For the Xiaomi Mi 12, it's expected to come with an LTPO adaptive refresh rate screen. With it, the device will support an adaptive refresh rate adjustment function between 1 to 120Hz. It could also show up with support for 120W wired fast charging and 100W wireless charging. Due to China's latest wireless charging policy, Xiaomi might have to tone the 100W to anything less than 50W.
