In conjunction with the Xiaomi 13 Ultra launch, Xiaomi also unveiled the Mi Band 8. Compared with the predecessor, the latest Mi Band 8 is much more elegant looking as a lifestyle fashion statement as well as sports-oriented. Here's what we know about the wearable so far.

According to Xiaomi, the Mi Band 8 has a variety of stylish wristbands that can suit your needs. This includes leather, nylon fabric and metal in different ways. Besides the interchangeable wristbands, it seems that the main body can be equipped with a clip accessory that can be attached to your shoe for tracking movement.

In terms of features, the Mi Band 8 has a 1.62-inch AMOLED display with 490 x 192 pixels and a 60Hz refresh rate. It also has Always On Display with an increased 600 nits peak brightness, as well as 5ATM waterproof rating that's good for a swim in a pool. Of course, it also has all the health tracking sensors like every wearable nowadays.

Xiaomi also brought back all the fitness tracking but with an extra feature. It's an interactive fitness course that can utilise the wearable's accelerometer to track movements in real-time. This feature suits the part where you put the Mi Band on your shoe. Lastly, the 190mAh battery pack can be fully charged within an hour and can last up to 16 days.

The Mi Band 8 is priced at 249 Yuan (~RM160) and if you want the NFC version, that's 299 Yuan (~RM192). We expect this wearable to come into the Malaysian market sometime this year. So until then, stay tuned for the official news only at TechNave.com.
