When the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 was revealed on 24 November, it gained quite a buzz over its mighty 64-bit Intel Atom X5-Z85000 processor with 2GB dual-channel LPDDR3 RAM. Not to mention, the rest of its tech specs are also most impressive. To recap, the device has a 16GB and 64GB internal storage variant, a 7.9-inch IPS display with 2048 x 1536 resolution, 8MP and 5MP for the main and front camera, supports 802.11ac dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity, runs on MIU7 and the battery is 6190 mAh.

With such immense tech specs for a tablet, the dark grey/champagne gold full metal device easily scored over 85000 points on the AnTuTu benchmark. This makes the Mi Pad 2 one of the highest performing tablets (using Android), landing it in third placing just behind smartphones like the Huawei Mate 8 and Meizu Pro 5.

But that’s not all, @Sail Osamu_Fan from Weibo even managed to figure out how to fully utilize the device to its full potential. So instead of playing heavy app games, he played League of Legends and Counter-Strike Go.

Sure, both of these games system requirements don’t really demand much. But it’s not like you see someone playing PC games on a tablet, not to mention both of the games run as smooth as butter according to @Sail Osamu_Fan and the Mi Pad 2’s RAM is only 2GB. However, one question comes to mind though is that will the tablet get extremely hot after awhile? The post never mentioned it, but Android users are welcome to try.

There will be a Windows 10 version (only in 64GB) in late December for RMB 1299 (RM861.18), so it’s a good time for a Christmas gift if you’re looking for one. If you’re interested to watch the game play, visit the user’s CSGO or LoL game testing to watch the video.
