As you already know, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 smartphone was launched during yesterday's big Xiaomi event. Another highly-anticipated launch is the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 series. It's the first premium tablet series from Xiaomi in a while and we have some details on it now.

The Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 series comes in two models - Mi Pad 5 and Mi Pad 5 Pro. There's a Snapdragon 860 chipset in the former, while the latter features the Snapdragon 870 chipset. The Mi Pad 5 is also WiFi-only, but the Mi Pad 5 Pro has a variant with 5G connectivity. Both models have 6GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage, though the Pro also has an 8GB RAM variant. Lastly, the standard model uses an 8720mAh battery, while the Pro has an 8600mAh battery.

In terms of features, they both feature an 11-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 2560x1600 and a 120Hz refresh rate. There's also a dual-camera system at the back for both models. While the Mi Pad 5 uses a modest 13MP+5MP setup, the Mi Pad 5 Pro has a surprising 50MP+5MP combo. There's also support for a magnetic keyboard cover and stylus, but you probably have to buy these separately.

You can check out the product pages for the two devices for more details. We've also included the price list below. In our opinion, the standard Mi Pad 5 is quite a good deal. It's probably better if they bundle the keyboard and stylus, but what do you think? Share your thoughts in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
