If you needed a tablet, the Xiaomi Pad 5 series launched a few months back was one of the most affordable flagship options you could get. However, the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro only had 6GB of RAM on the WiFi version. Fortunately, Xiaomi is looking to release a new variant.

The General Manager for Redmi, Lu Weibing, confirmed that Xiaomi is launching a new Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro. Specifically, the company will add a new variant of the WiFi version with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. It will be unveiled at the big launch for the Xiaomi 12 series and Xiaomi Watch S1 later tonight.

As a reminder, the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro is Xiaomi's latest entry into the tablet market. It features a Snapdragon 870 chipset, so it performs significantly better than the Snapdragon 860 on the regular Xiaomi Pad 5. Moreover, the WiFi variant comes with a 13MP+5MP dual camera, 11-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a large 8600mAh battery.

Of course, Xiaomi could still surprise us by announcing other small upgrades, but we don't think that will happen. With that said, would this be an option you'd be more interested in? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
