It hasn't really been all that long ago since Xiaomi launch its first smartwatch, the Mi Watch, in Malaysia last year. But news of a new Xiaomi smartwatch is already making the rounds and this one was found through a listing on the Bureau for Indian Standards (BIS).

According to FoneArena, the smartwatch bears the model number HMSH01GE. But aside from that, there's not much we actually know about it at the moment. However, there are many people who believe that we can derive some findings from the current Mi Watch. Firstly, the Mi Watch is a MIUI-based WearOS device running on a Snapdragon Wear 3100 chipset, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, a 1.78-inch AMOLED display, and a 570mAh battery.

Secondly, it features a heart-rate monitor, 4G connectivity, as well as support for other wireless connectivity like Wi-Fi, NFC, and Bluetooth. If the branding here for smartwatches is the same as with smartphones, then the Redmi smartwatch will likely be a slightly stripped down version of the Mi Watch that is more affordable.

With that said, we don't actually have any confirmation on the design and tech specs for this Redmi smartwatch, let alone a release window for launch in Malaysia.
