Previously, we mentioned about the Xiaomi Smart Band 8 Pro release in China. Today, the Smart Band 8 variant cleared SIRIM certification and could launch very soon. In case you didn’t know, this is the same model released in China last April.
Moreover, this device is registered with SIRIM today with the model number M2239B1. For your information, the Smart Band is listed under Xiaomi Malaysia. As we all know, every product has to go through SIRIM’s screening before it becomes available in markets. With this information, we can confirm that this device will be released soon.
Previously, the Smart Band 7 features a 14-day battery life. Meanwhile, the new Smart Band 8 comes with a 16-day battery life and a wider range of strap options. Interestingly, you can attach this device to your pendant or shoes too. As of now, we have yet to confirm the price for the device. However, you should expect it to be the same as the Chinese market release, which is around ~RM153.51 (239 Yuan).
