It looks like the pixels wars are going to continue if the latest rumour is true. A new leak suggests that Xiaomi is working on a new phone that will pack a large 144MP main camera sensor from Samsung. When it launches, such a phone could house the world's highest pixel count.

According to leakster Sudhanshu, this new device could be either the Xiaomi Mi 10S Pro or Mi CC10 Pro. It would pack a 144MP Samsung ISOCELL lens, the highest pixel count to date. Neither models have had any related news so far, making this the first time we've heard of them. Also, there was no Mi 9S Pro previously, which means a Mi 10S Pro would be a variant for the Mi 10 series.

On the flip side, the CC9 Pro that was revealed last November was a great camera phone. It came with decent specs, including a Snapdragon 730G chipset, up to 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of internal storage. But more importantly, it has a fancy Penta camera setup that scored 121 points on the DXOMark camera benchmark. As a reminder, it had a 108MP main camera, 20MP ultrawide-angle lens, 12MP portrait lens, 8MP telephoto lens, and macro lens.

With that in mind, what are your thoughts on such a camera phone? When do we reach a point of diminishing returns with the continued increase in pixel count? Let us know what you think of this on our Facebook page! Also, please continue to follow us on TechNave.com for the latest tech news.
