Xiaomi could launch a L2S model with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus chipset

When Xiaomi launched its latest flagship series, some fans were caught by surprise. The new series consists of the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, and strangely named Xiaomi 12X. There's also a Xiaomi 12 Lite that has been certified, and the Ultra variant will allegedly be replaced. The question is, by which model?

Previously, it was rumoured that there would be two MIX 5 series devices as replacements. However, a device with the model number 2206122SC could be the replacement instead. According to Digital Chat Station, this 'L2S' model is a variant of the Xiaomi 12 Pro. However, it would also be better than the Pro model, which suggests that this is the Ultra replacement.

But why call it an Ultra replacement? Well, it could be a device belonging to a different series. Like the other rumour speculates, this could be called the Xiaomi MIX 5 Pro. The idea could be to set the Xiaomi MIX series (or whatever series it could be) as the top-tier Xiaomi product segment. Allegedly, this phone could be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus chipset (SM8475) and would launch in Q3 2022.

Of course, none of the above has been confirmed, so take it with a grain of salt. In your opinion, what device could this be? The rumoured Xiaomi MIX 5 Pro or something else? Share your thoughts in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news about it.
