Xiaomi reigns supreme for the third time on Mi Singles’ Day with RMB 1.25 billion sales

Xiaomi has once again overachieved themselves in Mi Singles’ Day for three years in a row, earning RMB 1.25 billion (RM86 billion!) sales in just one day. For your information, Singles' Day is held every 11 November in China. They’re also crowned the best smartphone in Tmall, and e-commerce platforms JD and Suning.

Mi Singles’ Day 2015 started with a bang at 11 November midnight and within the first 11 minutes and 56 seconds, they already went over RMB 100 million in sales at the Tmall store alone. Xiaomi exceeded RMB 1 billion after that just after 7 minutes.

Meanwhile in Malaysia, there were a lot of jaw dropping offers on Mi Singles’ Day, particularly the Redmi Note 2, To recap what we have covered days ago before 11.11, Xiaomi’s latest smartphone was only RM649 and they also introduced the Redmi 2 Enhanced version for RM529 with a free rechargeable battery. Customers who wanted powerful specs also got a lucky deal with the Mi 4i 32GB and the Mi Note; both were priced at RM899 and RM1549 with a free 10000 mAh Mi Powerbank and a free screen protector with a casing respectively. Additionally, the RM1 Flash Deals, RM1 Mi Phone, Limited edition gold and red 10000 mAh Mi Powerbanks for RM59 only, were also responsible for Xiaomi’s success.

Back to China, Xiaomi’s Mi TV sold very well too resulting in a 66000 unit sale. The Mi Box 3 broke its record as well by making the debut in just 9 minutes selling 10000 units. Other than that, Xiaomi’s top five most sold units went to the Mi Band, Mi Band Pulse, Mi Power Strip, Yi Smart Webcam and Mi Smart Scale.
