If you like watching videos in other languages on YouTube, this bit of news could be interesting for you. Xiaomi has been working on a feature called Xiaoai, which will be released next month. This is basically a live translation that will be added to MIUI 12.5.

According to Gizmochina, sources have provided photos of the Xiaoai Translation in action. It uses AI to live translate content like video meetings, voice calls, and live videos/streams. In other words, you should be able to use this with platforms like YouTube, Twitch, and more. We're not sure how many languages it can translate yet, but it can at least translate Chinese to English.

The feature will be added to MIUI 12.5 in September 2021 and will support a total of 15 smartphones from Xiaomi and Redmi. This includes the Xiaomi 11, Xiaomi 10s, Redmi K40 Pro, and more. Besides the live translation, Xiaomi has also been working on a Battery Health Indicator, which the company could add to MIUI 12.5 or MIUI 13.

A live translation feature that's not locked to a platform can be useful, especially when it comes to video. But what do you think about that? Will other brands benefit from having the same feature? Share your thoughts in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
