While Xiaomi’s Yi is more known for their smaller items (such as the action cams), they are not afraid of trying out new things. This sense of adventure gives them the courage to join the camera manufacturer world, with the new Yi M1 camera – a Micro Fourthirds interchangeable imager.

It is a mirrorless ILC with 20MP Sony designed CMOS sensor that boasts Raw capability in the form of DNG output files and the ability to shoot 4K/30P video. As it uses the Micro Fourthirds mount, it can accept any of the lenses from Panasonic, Olympus or any other third party lenses – or just use the included 42.5mm F1.8 prime and a 12-40mm F3.5-5.6 zoom, depending on the kit that you have purchased.

It is fully touch screen controlled, with a uncanny resemblance to the Leica T series camera. It can use WiFI and Bluetooth LE to connect to smart devices – but it doesn't come with any viewfinder. The biggest kicker? It is only USD 330 (~RM 1364). Stay tuned to TechNave for more news on the Yi M1 camera.
