Just a few hours ago, Yoodo posted a new teaser about its own 5G services. The teaser post didn't say much but we have a feeling that it's coming soon.
On its official website, Yoodo promoted its 5G services with the usual 5G perks. This includes 10x faster speed, bigger network capacity and reduced latency. While there's no announcement on the availability, customers are told in the FAQ section that they can get a 5G free trial sometime in the future.

Given the recent merging of CelcomDigi, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) also mentioned that Yoodo, a subsidiary of Celcom must be sold off or cease its operations. Honestly, we are a bit surprised that Yoodo is still heading for 5G services due to the situation but perhaps it was already in the plans before that happened.
For Yoodo to continue its mobile data services, a new buyer would need to acquire Yoodo by mid-2024. Yoodo can also sign an agreement with Digital Nasional Berhad and go independent if they wish to. But since Yoodo is riding on Celcom's infrastructure, there's not much reason to do so.
Guess we will just have to wait and see what Yoodo has in store for us. Until then, stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
