The folks at iFixit have gone and done a teardown of the Huawei P9, revealing a repairability score of 7 out of 10 for a smartphone that is fairly easy to repair. While most parts are modular, the display unit and use of Pentalobe security screws (like the kind used in the Apple iPhone 6S) are the only repair issues that iFixit says the Huawei P9 has. They also noted that the fingerprint sensor is the same high-quality one as the part in the Huawei Nexus 6P so while you're in trouble if the display gets broken, everything else is top notch.
