Back in February, it was hinted that Apple could be adding support for more console controllers in iOS 14.5 and tvOS 14.5. The goal is to enable the use of the new PS5 DualSense and Xbox Series X Controller for iPhones and Apple TVs.

According to Wccftech, tvOS 14.5 officially launched earlier today. The update is available to the Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K. As rumoured, tvOS 14.5 will add support for the two next-gen console controllers. There's also a new Color Balance feature, which uses an iPhone to calibrate the colour profile of the display you connect to your Apple TV.

If you want to get the update, you can go to the settings on your Apple TV, then download the update under System > Software Update. The OTA update should already be available, but if it's not then just check back later. You can also update manually via the USB port by downloading the file here.
