iOS 14 could have built-in translator and Apple Pencil support to Safari

The iOS 13.5 update may have dropped just recently, but Apple is already hard at work on the next big release. iOS 14 is expected to be unveiled at the WWDC 2020 that is to be held during a live-stream, which will showcase new features to macOS, watchOS, and tvOS. But some details have popped up over the months, with the latest piece of news about Apple developing a built-in translator and Apple Pencil support for the Safari browser.

According to 9to5Mac, sources have claimed that the iOS 14 update will also see an upgrade to Safari. The browser is expected to get a built-in translator that will allow users to translate web pages quickly, without having to use a third-party service or extension to do it. This sounds like Google Chrome mobile already has, so we expect the Safari version to function similarly. But that's not the end of it, as Apple seems to have plans to expand this translation function to other parts of the iOS ecosystem, such as the Apple App Store.

The other feature that could be added to the Safari browser is full support for Apple Pencil. This means that you'll be able to use the Pencil in Safari not only for navigation, but also to draw or make annotations. Speaking of the Apple Pencil, there's also a rumour claiming that Apple could release a new black-coloured version. The source is a Twitter post by Mr White, who is known to have previously revealed accurate leaks.

Since Apple hasn't confirmed any of these rumours, do take them with a pinch of salt. For all we know, built-in translation may only be ready in another iOS update after version 14. But with that said, is built-in translation important for you? Are black Apple Pencils something you'd want?
